On-line registration will now be available for registrations from Europe

The Organizing Committee have agreed that online registration will now be available for registrations from Europe also.

This is due to the tremendous interest from Europe. Also, with the proximity of the congress, we acknowledge that, apart from travel restrictions, there are ongoing reasons which preclude surgeons and therapists from attending.

Unfortunately, we are unable to refund those who are already registered for face-to-face and wishing to switch to online only – if not due to force majeure as stated on website.

Online access will cover the streaming of the three main sessions, videos sent in for secondary review and ePosters.

On-demand access will be available till 20 August 2022.

CME Accreditation

We are pleased to inform you that the IFSSH, IFSHT & FESSH COMBINED CONGRESS LONDON 2022, London, United Kingdom, 06/06/2022-10/06/2022 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 31 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
For further details please read the full accreditation statement.

We will send you an evaluation form by e-mail after the event. Completion of the online survey is mandatory to receive CME credits. After completing the feedback form, you will receive a download link to access the CME certificate in pdf format.

Regrettably CME certification is not possible at an international level or for each of the numerous individual countries that may participate in the meeting.
A certificate of attendance will be provided after the meeting to every registered participant. Often the different accrediting organizations can grant points based on these certificates. So if you wish to pursue the allocation of CME points, we suggest to contact your own accrediting organization for more advice.

The Students and Trainees Association for Surgery of the Hand (STASH) invites you to attend the launch of their newly formed Association at the IFSSH-IFSHT-FESSH Congress.

Registration is FREE and includes:
Hands-on Practicals, Teaching, Merchandise, Free Lunch

About the Event

Welcome

The British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the British Association of Hand Therapists are proud to host the joint congress of the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand and International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy in London 2022. We are organising this with the IFSSH and the IFSHT in collaboration with the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand.

We will include all of the current major topics in hand surgery in the scientific programme, as well as some new ones.

We will be running an instructional course through the meeting the topic for which will be "Tendon problems in the hand and wrist".
There will be interactive case-based debates on contentious issues, workshops and invited lectures from renowned international experts. This will be an unrivalled opportunity for exchange of ideas between hand surgeons, therapists, trainees and students, with sessions open to both surgeons and therapists. Please send in your abstracts so that we can share your experience.

About the City

London

London is one of the great cities of the world. Visitors can enjoy London's stunning historical architecture, world-renowned scientific and cultural museums (all of which are free to enter) and some of the most iconic landmarks in the world. London's "West End" is famous for its shopping, food and above all its theatre scene. Alongside Broadway in New York, West End theatre represents the highest quality theatre in the world. The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden is home to The Royal Opera, as well as The Royal Ballet.

The congress venue is in the Docklands area of the city. ExCeL is an exhibitions and international convention centre in Custom House area of Canning Town, East London. It is located on a 100-acre site on the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock in London Docklands, between Canary Wharf and London City Airport. We have excellent conference facilities, a diverse range of accommodation and unrivalled international accessibility. London is also an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the UK and Europe.

We invite you to come and disseminate and assimilate knowledge, to share new ideas, meet new friends and old from all over the world and, above all, to celebrate our wonderful specialty that is Hand Surgery.

We look forward to welcoming you to London in 2022.

UK Travelling Fellowship Scheme
for the London IFSSH/FESSH/IFSHT Congress

In 2022, the BSSH in collaboration with IFSSH, FESSH and IFSHT, will host the international IFSSH/FESSH/IFSHT Congress in London (6 to 10 June). In conjunction, the best of hand surgery practice in the United Kingdom will be showcased through the UK Travelling Fellowship Scheme for a number of international fellows in the two weeks preceding the conference.

All fellowships have now been awarded and the 33 selected fellows notified. Each application form was marked by a panel consisting of consultant and trainee representatives from various overseas committees (BSSH and BFIRST), as well the IFSSH 2022 Scientific Committee. Every form was marked independently, and the selection process went through several rounds of discussion to ensure it was a rigorous, fair and transparent process. We wish to congratulate all fellows who have been successful in their applications and look forward to welcoming them in the UK and London.

Hybrid Meeting

HYBRID MEETING

Since we started organizing this conference 3 years ago, the world has changed considerably. A global pandemic has forever changed the way conferences are held, with the birth of a hybrid model where participants meet in person but also have the option to participate online for those who face restrictions or other reasons precluding travel.

We understand many of you are unable to come to London. We are keen to deliver a hybrid programme that will still allow meaningful participation for online participants. This would consist of recorded talks, invited live experts and selected free paper sessions at different time zones.

Collaboration with several countries, especially in Asia, have allowed us to organise a bespoke hybrid programme that promises to be an exciting conference for those who are logging in from their homes in various countries, despite the differences in time zones.

SATELLITE MEETING

A hybrid programme also allows an exciting opportunity for different countries/regions to organise local satellite meetings to incorporate their own scientific and social programmes. The local organizing committee can arrange to have their own Q and A session following participation of the IFSSH live streaming or recorded sessions. We can also arrange live expert participation from London. If you wish to organise a satellite meeting please contact us.

HYBRID PROGRAMME IFSSH 2022 (CATERING TO TIME ZONE OF GMT+7 HOURS)

Detailed programme will be confirmed nearer the time

ExCeL Centre London, which was one of the venues for the London 2012 Olympic Games, is one of the most advanced conference facilities in the world. It benefits from accessibility, stunning but functional architecture and state-of-the-art communication facilities. These attributes, as well as peerless educational display facilities make it the ideal venue. Its layout is perfectly suited for a mixture of academic sessions, plenary, breakout and parallel.

Crucially, the venue has ample space for exhibitors.
